sugar mandarins
so small, they take much time to peel
& then you eat them in one gushy bite
for you
i’d peel as many as
requested, slow
so you could watch my fingers doing it
& separate each tiny section
so you could see how tiny
& feed these by the hundred
to your lips
so you could taste how sweet & tiny
it’d be like
giving you all the vitamin C you need
to ward off sickness
for a whole lifetime
